In 2012, he co-founded Bright Funds, a leading enterprise SaaS platform for corporate philanthropy that has facilitated hundreds of millions of dollars ($ USD) in philanthropic transactions for tens of thousands of donors. Bright Funds technology powers the employee giving, volunteerism, and corporate grantmaking programs at many leading global companies. 

Ty previously co-founded OutServe and helped build the organization into the largest LGBT employee resource group in the world, serving thousands of U.S. military personnel. OutServe played a pivotal role in the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell.”

He began his professional career in San Francisco at Deloitte, followed by leading Financial Planning and Analysis and co-founding the Business Operations team at Coverity, an enterprise software company acquired by Synopsys (NASDAQ: SNPS).

Ty graduated from Washburn University in 2006 with a BBA in Finance and Accounting, Summa Cum Laude, and he was the recipient of the 2016 Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award.
